I often have space to take some commissions from people just wanting something for their home or work for tv, film, advertising or display.
I know it can be a bit daunting approaching someone about making something for you. It's all a bit mysterious so I figured I would take the time to explain how the process works when you commission something from me.
FIrst up have a think about what you want, if you are unsure about what you want but have a specific budget in mind that's ok too.
Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Sometimes someone will come to me and say for example "I want a fox with a theme, I would like the theme to be based around a literary figure, or favourite film" . I then give a quote for an estimate. If that doesn't work with their budget, I can suggest ways of making something smaller or less detailed that does fit.
If you are then ready to go ahead I start to research so I can kind of get a sense of what will work and fits with what you wanted. I love my work going to a good home where it's cherished. It's important to me to take the time to find an idea that fits into your life or project.
I come up with some ideas and email them to you. some people prefer to be surprised which is fine too.
At this point if you want to go ahead I send a deposit with payment details. I take a 30% deposit to start. This covers my initial materials costs and is non refundable. I am more than happy to take payment in monthly instalments over 3-12 months. Most of my commissions are paid for this way, I am very understanding if you need an extra month or need to skip a month so please don't feel uncomfortable asking for this type of payment method. I appreciate the trust you are putting in me to create something great for you and I appreciate life can get in the way sometimes.
I then go away and begin the process of getting the very specific materials to fit the scale of what I am making for you and begin the process. At the moment Generally it takes me between 4-12 months to complete a commission.
I can make certain things faster than others if you needed something quickly but it's always best to be prepared to wait.
A lot of my materials are sourced from all over the world, sometimes antique fabrics or ornaments, glass eyes and miniature items. I get accessories drawn up and 3d printed occasionally. Sourcing things can take time as nothing I work with is very easy to obtain especially within a set budget, often I make things by hand.I make and print my own fabrics if need be so everything is possible.
I want you to be amazed when you see all the things we discussed brought to life so the details are important to me.I always try to add in some detail specific to that person. Newspapers and books from the day of their birth, Initials or pet names, Favourite books or things with significance such as a miniature version of a specific Camera model and lens for example.
I post photos and videos of progress on Instagram and Twitter and finally I take High res photographs from all angles. These can be licensed for advertising for an additional cost. I upload them here and email you the link. At this point the final payment will have been made and I will pack the Animal up and send to you.
CONGRATULATIONS! You now have a new addition to your life that will be there with you at the best of times and the worst. I make my work to last and survive through generations. Apologise to your grankids from me!
I send most of my work to other countries, with a large percentage going to the USA. I have reasonable postage rates we can discuss. Depending on where you are we can find what works for you. Usually at the same time.
Some things to consider.....
Animals made with faux fur generally end up coming in a little less expensive and can be turned around faster than Taxidermy animals.
I can work in all kinds of mediums and scale, different types of sculpture so feel free to suggest something that is different to what you see here.
Prices range from £100 (gbp) up to around £3000 depending on scale, use, level of detail and type of work.
I will put some example prices below.

A "stoned" fox- a cousin of the original meme fox with a detailed theme/costume- £1500
